If one thing can be said about POSTRmagazine, it’s that it knows how to stand out. Not only has this free quarterly magazine a clearly different voice than most traditional media, focussing on the other side of the story and encouraging its readers to form their own opinion; its most striking difference is the irregular format it’s printed on.
The foldable A1-sized magazine has an attractive layout and well balanced typography, asking to be put up and making it a desirable advertising space: the whole back features one unique advertisement. In addition to the 5000 printed copies, there’s also a complementary website offering more critical content and even the possibility to download a pdf version of all previous magazines.

Not afraid to cause a little stir, they came up with a cunning idea to promote their 4th publication – the Money issue – and announced it through their facebook fanpage and website:
“Come & raise funds from the Dead at POSTRmagazine’s None Dollar Bill handouts in Ghent and Brussels, where we will be handing out 0,000,000$ in single currency notes to innocent passers-by and avid accomplices/readers alike. Every one of these None Dollars Bills can be traded for a copy of POSTRmagazine#4 at any of our distribution points.”
Now that’s putting their money where their mouth is!
